Conditions for Making an Appointment with the U.S. Consulate
Usually, a Mexican national or a
citizen of another country covered by the visa waiver program may be able to

program.

the American Consulate.

A. Which you can get after
registering on the ImmigrantVisas.state.gov page of the American Consulate

Restrictions on Scheduling
Changes
Please be aware that there are
just a few scheduling options available, despite non-immigrant visa fees being
valid for a full calendar year. Every year, the U.S. Embassy arranges tens of
thousands of appointments for non-immigrant visas. It must accept requests for
brand-new appointments and applicants who need to reschedule their appointments
for whatever reason.
Only two complimentary
reschedulings (excluding the initial appointment) are allowed for applicants.
An applicant can only book a fresh date after a 90-day waiting period if the
subsequent rescheduling attempt is postponed. Please schedule your interview in
advance when applying for a visa.
